Woolworth’s electric vehicle trial

Woolworth’s first electric vehicle “Eve” went on the road in 2018 after engaging with SEA Electric in 2017 for a customised, refrigerated electric truck.

Eve has a 14 pallet capacity (~11 tonne payload), 212kW battery and 180-200km range. It has a full electric drive, an electric tailgate, an electric door and an electric fridge. It has a freezer rated body with great thermal performance.

Woolworth believes that electric vehicles can help to reduce store delivery restrictions due to being quieter and less disruptive to residents.

Woolworth will not scale up the adoption until the technology is better supported. [1]
